Techniques and Tools
A must for beginners in clay who want to develop an understanding of techniques used in hand building. Methods include: pinch pots, coil and slab building, sculpting and using molds. You will learn how to use the slab roller and other tools of the trade. Techniques in painting your work will be explored. No previous experience necessary.

Adult Foundation Year
This course focuses on building the fundamentals of abstract thinking and design, drawing, inspiration and interpretation, color theory and clay forms. It is designed to build general art and design skills for beginners and intermediate students.
Next session: Drawing Fundementals – Winter 2008-9
6 sessions, 3 hours each session.
Cost: 820 nis plus some materials.
Open Studio
Create your own visions in clay. For those who need assistance, an experienced resource person is available. Previous experience in clay, or completion of Techniques and Tools Class required.
Sessions are in two 5-month blocks from September through January, and February through June. Students may join at other times depending on space availability. In addition, there are July and August summer sessions, as well. Prices range between 330- 450 nis per month including VAT depending on the total number of sessions.
Firing cost: 12 nis per kilo of fired ware.
Working on the Potter’s Wheel
For those with no experience on the wheel, private lessons are available. Learn the fundamentals and the philosophy.
For those who want to work on their own, wheel rental time is available.

Additional Studio Time
Extra studio hours are available for you to work on your own clay projects.
Times: during scheduled classes below or until 1pm after morning classes.
Registered students: 10 hours for 300 nis.

Important Registration Information:
- Fall Registration deposit of 300 nis is due by August 1st, and dated September 1st. this covers the first month. It can be mailed to the mailing address above
- Prices are based on yearly fee divided by 5 months. There are no classes on chagim, Chanukah and chol ha’moed. All prices include VAT.
- There could be changes in the schedule as written above.
- Classes will begin September 2nd.
- Classes in September and October will be taught by another ceramic teacher. Mallory plans to return Nov. 1
- Full fall registration is due the first day of class: 5 postdated checks dated October 1, 2008– Jan 1, 2009, or Feb 1, - June 1 2009 for Spring semester made out to: Mallory Serebrin (please date only for the 1st of each month)
- If you withdraw during the year, one month’s fee is charged/kept.
